Art Deco is back. In the 1920s Art Deco showcased simple geometric shapes in order to make the designs of fashion, architecture, home decor, and sculpture timeless. The flappers did it so well, that it was hard to recreate a look that with a new spin of the 20s, until now. From Gucci to Ralph Lauren, they all exhibit aspects of the timeless Deco era.

I follow multiple blogs and fashion collectives like Lookbook.nu. As a Merchandise Product Developer, I love to create flat sketches of the new trends that are viewed the most positively by fashion followers around the world.
Sublimation prints have a huge impact on my fashion aesthetic. It seems to mostly be involved in the underground Los Angeles and Melbourne scenes. I like to call it the Spirit Funk movement. If you are going to Flying Lotus shows or going to art gallery openings, you might want to get a all-over graphic printed dress like this. For these two dresses I used abstract photos. The photo on the left is the macro, ultra-violet spectrum of an egg becoming fertilized and the photo on the right is a photo-manipulation mandala I created for a digital art show. I love making my own photo collages to eventually heat transfer to rayon material. The black color blocking on my illustrations are used to accent a tiny waist and an edgy woman.

One of my favorites, Black Milk Clothing, takes sublimations to a near perfect level.
